2019 BMW S1000RR engine specs released

#dailynews60 The engine specs have been revealed for the 2019 BMW S1000RR which promises to be a sheer treat for bike enthusiasts.

The new BMW S1000RR is one of the most eagerly awaited superbikes for enthusiasts and it was launched for the first time back in the year 2010. This is now widely regarded as the segment benchmark and has received updates periodically although a new generation model is what is required at present. The company has been working on a new version over the last few years and the 2019 model will debut at EICMA 2018 which is slated for the 5th of November, 2018. BMW has claimed that the new bike will be a totally new offering with different styling and specs.

The engine specifications have now been revealed and there will be an in-line 999 cc four cylinder engine that churns out 207 hp and 113 Nm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox and the bike will have a top speed of 299 kilometres per hour. Kerb weight stands at only 197 kg and the M Package will also reduce weight by an added 3.5 kg through the usage of carbon fibre components.

The motorcycle also comes with Road, Rain, Race and Dynamic riding modes along with multi-level traction control, cornering ABS, bi-directional quickshifter and hill-start control (HSC). The bike could launch by mid-2019 in the Indian market as per reports.
